I will edit and add as I find more!
Santa Barbara is a vacation destination. So it's likely that people will be visiting for Christmas looking for some holiday cheer by the seaside. Read on to find out what local Santa Barbara bars are dressed up for the holidays!
Hi y'all! My blog has been pretty dang dead for a while, but I'm trying to figure out ways to bring it back. Considering most online content these days is Ai, I feel compelled to try and get back to my writing roots and at least share some reviews and perhaps a recipe or two. We'll see if it sticks.
Miracle in the Funk Zone
One of my FAVORITE little traditions is hitting up the local Miracle Popup —in Santa Barbara it’s called Miracle in the Funk Zone at Pearl Social! Great photo opps, tasty drinks, and tasty snacks.
They are truly the gold standard when it comes to holiday themed popups. The drinks are so fun, albeit quite pricey, but they're so whimsical I can't quite complain. Also, most cocktails in Santa Barbara are going to run you $12 or more, so you're not paying too much more for the fun.
I suggest making a reservation if you have more than two people, or trying to walk in during slower hours to try to get two seats together at the bar. The reservations sell out fast, and you'll need to put down some $ (which gets donated to a local charity) to ensure a seat.
This is actually a nation-wide popup, and I used to frequent it during the holiday season when I lived in Austin, Texas. It's worth searching to see if there's one near you!
Shaker Mill - Nightmare Before Christmas
Why do I love Nightmare Before Christmas so much? Because it is the bridge between my favorite holiday and my second favorite holiday!
And one of my FAVORITE cocktail bars, Shaker Mill, has decked their halls with a Nightmare pop up!
The cocktail menu was delightful—our group’s favorite was Frog’s Breath—and I’ll absolutely be back to roll the dice again and try to win the souvenir mug!
If you’re in SB for the holidays and are a fellow spooky girl, you gotta check it out 👻

Finch & Fork's Ski Chatlet
This is one I haven't yet hit up, but if you're visiting Santa Barbara for the holiday and want a true cashmere by the sea experience I'd suggest checking out Finch & Fork at the Canary Hotel. The pictures make me feel like I'm watching one of those Hallmark movies and some tall handsome ski instructor is going to sweep you away at any moment.
This is definitely a more expensive option, boasting caviar among other options, and a special themed menu of fancy wintertime drinks. Less whimsy and more cozy aesthetic for the adults is the vibe I'm getting from this one, but I can't wait to try the Chai!
This is the only place I've seen so far that has an actual photo booth, which is GENIUS because I can only selfie so much in these places, and the lighting isn't always great.
Did I miss any? Please let me know in the comments!
